What You’ll Do 
As a Mid-Level Back-End Python Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in our software engineering team, developing impactful features and directly contributing to our sustainability mission. You will:  

 

- Lead and mentor junior engineers in creating new functionalities for our GHG emissions visibility product.  
- Design and implement systems and data models to enhance existing features and develop new ones.  
- Develop and maintain solutions utilizing event-driven architecture to enable scalable, real-time processing.  
- Integrate with third-party APIs to efficiently manage large datasets.  
- Work with geospatial data to deliver accurate insights.  
- Ensure the reliability and quality of our product through rigorous data testing.  
- Apply your expertise across the full software development lifecycle.  

What We’re Looking For

 

Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.  
- 4–6 years of experience in software engineering, ideally in a relevant domain.  
- Strong proficiency in Python and object-oriented design principles.  
- Solid experience with relational databases (standard and cloud-based) and SQL.  
- Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems.  
- Experience with event-driven architecture and asynchronous programming concepts.  
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.  

 

Bonus Points for:
- Experience with RESTful APIs or other web services.  
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation technologies like Docker.  
- Background in environmental sustainability or related fields.
