Bothwell Regional Health Center has retained Eide Bailly to recruit it's next Vice President Clinic Operations. The search is being conducted by Eide Bailly's Healthcare Executive Search practice located in Omaha, NE.

Bothwell Regional Health Center is committed to provide exceptional, cost-effective, and compassionate health care to people in the communities the organization serves. Located in west central Missouri in the beautiful and historic city of Sedalia, Bothwell is a nonprofit, city-chartered health system that includes a hospital and a comprehensive network of primary and specialty care practices. The medical staff includes more than 100 physicians in over 25 specialties.

As one of the area’s largest employers, Bothwell has almost 900 team members that include 65 employed physicians and advanced practice providers at 21 clinic locations across four communities. Bothwell is accredited by The Joint Commission to include Acute Heart Attack Ready and Acute stroke Ready certifications. In addition, the organization is designated as a Level III Missouri ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) Center, designated a Missouri Center for Patient Safety Organization, and Bothwell Health Center-Truman Lake and Bothwell TLC Pediatrics have each received Exemplary Provider-accredited status by The Compliance Team.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President Clinic Operations is responsible for executive leadership of all physician clinics to include managing the medical staff, administrative staff, budgets, clinic billing, durable medical equipment, strategic planning, performance, policies, compliance, staff recruitment and development, and marketing. This role is a full member of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for the overall administration of the organization.

The City of Sedalia is in west-central Missouri giving residents and businesses easy access to Kansas City and the Lake of the Ozarks recreational area. The community is home to the Missouri State Fair which brings nearly 400,000 visitors, hosts the annual Scott Joplin Festival one of the best-known composers of the ragtime era, and Sedalia Chamber Hot Air Balloon & Kit Festival. In 2006, Sedalia was recognized as of Missouri’s DREAM initiative communities to redevelop and revitalize the historic downtown. In 2007, Sedalia school district approved plans to renovate existing public schools while constructing a new, state-of-the-art high school. State Fair Community college completed its Olen Howard Workforce Innovation Center in June 2022. The pinnacle of the community working together was the opening of the Heckart Community Center in March 2022, a multi-purpose, state-of-the art facility for all ages. Sedalia is a thriving, diverse community, home to both large and small businesses. With over 70 manufacturing and industrial-related businesses, Sedalia serves as a hub of commerce for the greater region. In addition, Whiteman Air Force Base, home to B-2 spirit bomber and approximately 5,600 military members in nearby.

The Vice President (VP) Clinic Operations role will be guided by the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the organization focused on people, care, community, growth, and operational excellence. In addition, the VP Clinic Operations will adhere to the Leadership Team Agreements. In the fall of 2022, to improve work culture, developed and agreed upon a set of 11 team agreements.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP Clinic Operations is responsible for executive leadership of all physician clinics and will serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The SLT consists of the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President of HR & Support Services, and the VP Clinic Operations.

The VP Clinic Operations will oversee the medical staff and collaborate with the medical group governance committee. In addition, the VP Clinic Operations will oversee Bothwell Medical Equipment the clinics business office functions, relationships with external medical affiliates, physician recruitment, and referral development.

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

• 5 years’ experience in physician practice management.
• Proven track record of outstanding achievement in fiscal management/cost control, marketing and practice development, strategic planning and staff leadership.
• Demonstrated skill in communicating with and relating to physicians, including the ability to establish a productive and cohesive partnership with physicians.
• Record of success in implementing and/or overseeing programs of quality improvement, resource management and managed care.
• Has a successful track record of standardizing operations across multiple clinics.
• Engagement with hospital board and/or governance structures.
• Has successfully implemented employee recognition and/or awards programs.

• MGMA or ACHE Membership and or ACMPE Certification preferred.

• Required to live in the area.
