Vice President of Franchise Development

Your Objective:
As the head of the development team for assigned brands in North America, you will be responsible for training, coaching, motivating, and managing the Franchise Developers on your team. You will also assist in creating the strategy for lead generation, approve territories, and assist in closing sales.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage, coach, and mentor your team on a daily basis (i.e. listening to phone calls, helping close sales, developing selling stories)
  • Analyze pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to sales leadership and marketing teams providing key business insights; typical reporting relates to demand generation, pipeline forecast, trends & closing rates
  • Manage and hold team members accountable for achieving sales metrics, which include key selling milestones, assigned brand new sale units, and EBITDA targets
  • Identify and solve complex business questions using data / analytics capabilities
  • Remain current for franchise development, lead generation, and customer engagement
  • Function as a member of the training team, teaching classes to internal team members and external candidates
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Host candidates/clients for dinners and other similar formal or informal meetings
  • Travel to brand headquarters, attend trade/broker shows, and other assignments (up to 25%)
  • Partner with brand presidents, officers, external contacts, and internal departments
Required Attributes:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Compile and review quantitative sales data and react rapidly to changing trends or new competitive threats and opportunities
  • Excellent phone and presentation skills
  • Confident personality, strong self-image, positive attitude and ability to work in a sales environment.
  • Ability to handle rejection
  • Desire and ability to organize / lead projects
  • Ability to teach and follow a prescribed selling system
  • Ability to work flexible hours (a non-typical Monday-Friday schedule) – 7:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday, some evenings, 1 Saturday per month
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Education & Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, preferred but not required
Experience: Five (5) or more years related experience in sales and/or training; experience managing others is preferred but may not be required
