Overview

Morning Brew is looking for a full-time Video Editor to join our fast-growing Branded Content team. This position is ideally based in New York, but remote work is a possibility. The ideal candidate is highly creative, experienced, and well-versed in all phases of post production editing. The candidate will be proficient in media management, file/export formatting, multicam, and linear editing with advanced skills in Adobe’s Creative Cloud.


This person will have the creative skills and ability to edit compelling content while ensuring a clear narrative that ladders up to the Partner’s brief and honors the Morning Brew voice. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of previous professional editing experience and has a knack for snappy and sometimes comedic cuts.  


What you’ll do:

-Handle the post-production of deadline-driven editorial video projects

-Media Management

-Assemble edits and implement notes from producers and team leads, while ensuring video/image/sound quality, size and placement meet brand standards

-Collaborate with our Design Team to identify graphic needs in an edit 

-Create smart, insightful branded content grounded in the Morning Brew voice 

-Archive and organize footage on our server 

-Maintain several ongoing projects at once

-Work with Creative Operations to streamline the post-production experience.

-Coordinate timely delivery of videos, project files

 

What makes you qualified: 

-3+ years of editing experience in Adobe Creative Cloud 

-Ability to build and maintain a highly organized post workflow 

-Ability to execute specific creative direction and also bring a strong point of view and creative instincts to elevate ideas

-Must have experience editing and executing final delivery for YouTube and Short Form (TikTok, IG, Facebook, etc.) 

-Must have branded content editing experience 

-Proficient in After Effects and Photoshop

-Color correction experience is a plus 

-Ability to juggle multiple projects at once  

-Has a sense for incorporating music into their edits both for tone as well as pacing

-Experience editing for comedy and explainer videos 

-Knowledge of content and style that performs well on all different types of platforms

-Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
