We are seeking an Employment Services Supervisor to support our Vista Care operations in South Dakota.
JOB SUMMARY
The Employment Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising Employment Support Professionals in the assigned region, including their daily work and activities as well as the operational excellence of the overall program, working in partnership and under the direction of the Area Director. The Supervisor ensures all Vista Care policies and procedures are being followed.

RESPONSIBLE TO
The Employment Services Supervisor reports to the Area Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In partnership and collaboration with the Area Director, supervises the operations of the employment program and the employment support professionals by mentoring, coaching, auditing, and assisting in scheduling staff.
- Completes performance reviews and corrective actions with guidance from the Area Director and in partnership with the HR team.
- Implements employee retention and engagement strategies in partnership with the People Division
- Assists with the recruitment and hiring of new team members with oversight by the Area Director and in partnership with the recruiting team.
- Works in partnership with the Learning, Development, and Engagement team on staff training plans and competencies, and is responsible for playing an active role in the training process.
- Completes monthly billing and other reports as requested.
- Required to attend mandatory staff meetings and training, including all essential learning training etc.
- Required to represent the agency in a professional manner in the community.
- Remains knowledgeable on Department of Labor laws and regulations, OSHA, SD Department of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and other pertinent state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ensures records and documentation are in compliance.
- In collaboration with Area Director and other organizational leaders, designs and implements training opportunities for people supported to gain skills needed to secure and maintain work placement.
- Attends and participates in the development of ISPs as invited.
- Demonstrates commitment to the rights and responsibilities of the people supported.
- Coordinates activities such as developing job skills, evaluating work process
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding agency information, including any information regarding the people supported.
- Works cooperatively with employers in securing and maintaining supported work placements.
- Maintains an active working relationship with rehab agencies and other entities that assist the people supported in continuing program eligibility and achieving employment objectives.
- Oversees continued eligibility for and utilization of appropriate services and funding sources necessary to meet the person’s needs.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum or three (3) years working in human services, preferably with adults or children with disabilities
- 1+ years experience with training/education preferred
- Must successfully complete all certification and training requirements within the assigned state(s) of operation within 90 days of hire.
- Valid driver’s license and clear driving record in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Vista Care’s best practices
- Personal vehicle and personal liability insurance must always remain current and within policy limits as determined by Vista Care. Documentation of routine maintenance of a personal vehicle must be maintained and presented to Vista Care upon request
- Experience in human services, customer service, or a related field required
- Prior experience in services and supports for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
- Clear background check in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Vista Care’s best practices
- Consistently demonstrate effective decision-making abilities, strong communication skills, and computer literacy.
- Fluency in oral and written English. Bilingual proficiency a plus
- Completion of or ability to complete medication administration, CPR/First Aid/AED, and Positive Behavior Support training within the first 90 days of employment. Required to maintain certification during tenure in role.
- Ability to complete training and certificates required to be a Vocational Rehabilitation Service Provider within a reasonable time period.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Requires repetitive manual and finger dexterity and eye- hand coordination; requires the ability to use all office equipment
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds using appropriate body mechanics.
- Must be able to remain awake and alert for the duration of each shift, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, twist, sit, and walk for periods of time.
- Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics while assisting with the transfer of individuals weighing up to 250 pounds utilizing manual or mechanical lifting devices.
