Vori’s Operations Team takes pride in its customer finesse and operational excellence. The purpose of this Solutions Engineer role is to support and assist with the overall availability of our product offering and accelerate customer deployments for which Vori Operations is responsible. Your primary responsibilities include contributing to and building a world class operations team both from a procedural and systems point of view. You will partner with Onboarding Managers to configure the Vori system to the customers’ unique needs in order to maximize the benefits of their Vori purchase, such as reduced out of stocks, decreased shrinkage, and increased efficiency.
Having a fluency with data and databases is critical. Additionally, the tools and languages that help you access and manipulate the data, such as SQL. You will immerse yourself into many formats of data from a number of different entities, such as point of sale platforms, retail back office systems, and ERPs. Data may come in a variety of formats such as CSV, PDF, EDI, and good old fashioned paper. You will need to have a fluency in dealing with data, as well as the integrations that connect these sources to Vori.

Understand the VoriOS system end to end and interdependencies between the system and its integration components
Understanding Customer’s needs to define and configure system specifications
Configure and maintain data mappings (invoice and supplier data) and reconciliation as an integral part of our operations team
Install, Deploy, Configure, Test, Monitor, Patch, Troubleshoot, and Maintain third-party and internal integrations with customers
Troubleshooting installations and integrations to diagnose any malfunctions of the Vori system
Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment and work closely with Operations, Product, Engineering teams on how to improve workflows and systems end to end
Work with third-party providers and the Onboarding Manager to ensure hardware and software is integrated end to end prior to Customer launch
Assist the Customer’s Onboarding Manager to train staff on system procedures
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or equivalent experience
SQL, Regex and scripting proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies. We use Postgres, Big Query, JSONata, JavaScript
Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills
Strong technical program management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfort with rapidly changing environments, demonstrated ability to deliver results autonomously, and a knack for creating clarity and consensus out of ambiguity
