The Khoros engagement platform comprises Online Community, Social Media Management and Messaging products for social customer service, social support and social media marketing teams to listen, respond and act on customer conversations – creating deep relationships and fostering brand loyalty and advocacy.

We work in small, cross-functional teams and love delivering value to our customers through shipping code. As a Vice President of Engineering at Khoros, you’ll be responsible for your team’s overall success and engagement. You’ll be the spark that helps the team meet its goals, support engineers in their professional growth, and recruit top software engineering and quality engineering talent to the growing team.

Responsibilities:
  • Being an active member of the CTO’s senior leadership team with ability to translate high level business plans and goals into an actionable path forward for engineering teams
  • Rapidly building trusting, solutions focused partnerships with all areas of the business to ensure transparency and alignment around prioritization, timelines, roadmap delivery and roadblocks
  • Guiding, growing, and empowering geographically distributed teams of 100+ to deliver and operate high quality software and scalable processes through rapid iteration
  • Engaging with CTO, TechOps, and finance organization to manage budget and vendors
  • Managing and driving the development and growth of a diverse, inclusive engineering leadership group through accountability and feedback, coaching, sponsorship, succession planning, and retention strategies.
  • Establishing and refining the engineering team’s staffing needs and organizational structure to promote ownership, accountability, and local decision making.
  • Partnering with technical leaders to define and execute technical roadmap for your organization
  • Working with engineering leaders in CTO organization to identify emerging engineering trends and key engineering metrics, make recommendations and implement process and technology improvements, and advocate/execute foundational investments to deliver resilient, highly-available, scalable products
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering,computer science or related field
  • 12+ years leading software development teams, including experience hiring, developing, and managing managers and senior engineers.
  • 12+ years writing software and/or having operational responsibility for SaaS applications
  • Expertise in leading and building enterprise-level services
  • Success as an engineering leader taking on challenging problems in a global, scalable, and performant way that requires rapid execution with high quality
  • Highly collaborative with other functions to guide solutions that are customer focused
  • Stays apprised of latest software development technologies, processes, trends

The base salary range for this role is $250,000 - $265,000 with a 25% Bonus. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
