The Sanctions Manager’s main objective is to effectively oversee sanctions compliance risk, through adherence to applicable economic sanctions laws and regulations, as well as Rabobank’s sanctions policies, procedures and guidance.

Manages a team of analysts responsible for sanctions name and transaction screening and serves as the primary point of contact for the Business and Operations regarding sanctions questions. The sanctions manager is responsible for overseeing internal strategies and processes related to sanctions monitoring, promoting awareness of sanctions regulatory requirements throughout the firm, and assessing related sanctions risk exposure. Escalates any issues that require reporting, identifying any potential breaches of sanctions across business units, ensures effective application of controls to evidence adherence to relevant sanctions related standards, policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Function as the primary sanctions Point of Contact (“POC”) for the US with respect to communications with and reporting to OFAC.

  • Oversee sanctions alert monitoring, including real-time payments as well as batch client name screening.

  • Assist with regulatory examinations, internal audits and Compliance Testing Group reviews.

  • Draft and revise OFAC Sanctions Standard and procedures.

To be considered for the Sanctions Manager role, you must have:

  • Minimum 5 years of prior Sanctions experience.

  • Minimum 7 years of prior work experience at a financial institution, law firm, regulatory agency, professional services firm, or other similar work environment.

  • Supervisory skills for managing a department of widely varied skill sets.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.

  • Strong management and people skills, ability to empathize and also keep team workflow on track.

  • Leadership and strategic influence.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $110,000 - $150,000

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular position includes all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
