We are looking for a strategic and innovative thinker that isn't afraid to work in ambiguous circumstances to lead the continued buildout of technology & professional services capabilities across TELUS Consumer Goods. We are searching for an experienced business leader with a focal point on business strategy, business development and integration as we continue to create an organization of One across our consumer goods business unit. From the numerous acquisitions and future acquisitions, this leader will drive the strategy & business development of our leading global organization. Reporting to the Managing Director of Consumer Goods, you'll leverage your entrepreneurial skills and business acumen to build on the established Consumer Goods strategy & foundational investments, and drive the scale and reach of our customer facing capabilities through business unit integration, incremental acquisitions, unique commercial partnerships, and strategic investments.

In this role you'll work closely with Consumer Goods leadership team, Corporate Development, Finance, Legal and TELUS Ventures teams - all while continuing the build out of our strategy and working to lead the business execution, in collaboration with your colleagues across TAC.

Here's How:

  • Develop and design in collaboration with key partners and stakeholders a multi-year strategic plan and roadmap to continue to grow TELUS Consumer Goods global business
  • Be comfortable managing the chaos by serving as the principal day-to-day point of contact for all things related to integration and establishing the overall integration process design, mechanics, and protocols to be followed by all participants and executives across the business unit
  • Influence others at multiple levels with initiative and lead a structured analytical culture across the organization
  • Lead with a structured and data driven approach to assess strategic options and paths for the business
  • Continuously enhance our processes, decision making criteria, interlock and governance approaches across TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods
  • Accelerate work by helping the leadership staff manage the pace and momentum of the integration, pushing for timely decisions on key issues, and providing true accountability for action items and deadlines.
  • Demonstrate exceptional courage to tackle difficult issues with optimism and confidence.
  • Support team member objectives with customized, individual performance objectives and career goals
  • Recognize and reward high performance and behaviors reflecting our culture and values
  • Partner with other teams and external organizations to capitalize on leading edge technologies, industry best practices, vendor support, and enterprise program management

What you bring to this role:

  • 12+ years experience in complex business environments, with an ability to build out multi-year strategic frameworks and roadmaps
  • Strong experience with post acquisition integration
  • Past experience in leading financial and market model development
  • Familiarity with software as a service business models and key financial and customer parameters
  • You get things done, are a leader and willing to calculate and explain risk and optionality
  • Recognized and experienced people leader, energized by leading a team, sharing knowledge and expertise, and supporting, recognizing and celebrating success
  • Persuasive and influential trusted advisor who listens, learns, is curious, sees the nuances, applies facts and data, and can articulate a compelling story in a clear and simple manner to an executive audience
  • You are relentlessly focused on our customers, anticipating their needs, thinking about how to create value for them through our products and services


Great to haves

  • MBA and/ or Financial Designation
  • Understanding of communications technology, software as a service, IoT, and data analytics product modalities
  • Global or multinational business experience
