As the VP, Recruiting, you will be responsible for guiding and scaling the team, driving our global recruiting strategy, and setting the vision for the future. Operating as a trusted advisor and recruiting expert to Checkr leaders, you will advise, optimize and iterate on existing processes to enable all hiring teams to be successful.

Reporting to the SVP of People and Talent and as a key member of the executive leadership team, you will lead the function with analytical rigor, a dedication to amazing candidate experience, inclusive hiring practices, and continue to build for scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, guide, and grow the leaders on the recruiting team and enable them to grow all members of the team.
  • Act as a key business partner to provide Checkr leadership with thought leadership on recruiting philosophy, process and tooling to meet business objectives.
  • Develop thoughtful organizational design and quantitatively driven processes to scale Checkr's hiring.
  • Define and measure KPIs for the team and the company as it relates to hiring.
  • Work to elevate Checkr's employment brand in the market.
  • Define and set the executive recruiting function at Checkr.
  • Act as a vanguard of Checkr's Core Values and Hiring Bar.

What you bring:

  • Deep experience building and leading high performing Recruiting teams
  • Experience leading a 25+ person team, managing directors/managers
  • Comfortable partnering with senior leadership and management teams on hiring initiatives
  • Strong understanding of the recruiting landscape across both tech and business roles
  • Commitment to elite candidate experience
  • Passion for mentorship and seeing recruiters flourish
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset
  • A sense of ownership and accountability
