Tech Team Lead - Payments

VSI Infotech LLP is seeking an experienced Tech Team Lead for our Payments division to guide and mentor our talented technical team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of payment solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet our clients' requirements. You will leverage your deep knowledge of payment systems and technologies to drive innovation, manage technical challenges, and maintain high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, a solid technical background in payments, and a passion for mentoring others. Key Responsibilities

  • ✅ Technical Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of developers to deliver high-quality API-based payment solutions.
    • Define and implement technical architecture and best practices for payment processing systems.
    • Ensure scalability, security, and compliance of payment systems in high-risk environments.
  • ✅ Development & Architecture:
    • Design and develop robust, high-availability, and low-latency payment APIs using .NET (C#).
    • Build responsive front-end components using Angular to provide a seamless user experience.
    • Integrate with third-party payment gateways and banking networks.
  • ✅ Payments Domain Expertise:
    • Manage payment flows for high-risk merchants (e.g., gaming, gambling).
    • Handle complex transaction processing, including risk scoring, fraud detection, and chargebacks.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards (PCI-DSS, AML, KYC).
  • ✅ Team Management & Collaboration:
    • Manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Work closely with product managers, business teams, and stakeholders to align technical goals with business objectives.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core) and Angular frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of API development (REST, SOAP) and microservices architecture.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling payment processing systems for high-risk domains 
  •  In-depth knowledge of payment gateways, tokenization, encryption, and fraud prevention techniques.
  •  Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus
