Job Title: (Spanish) Manufacturing Engineering InternLocation: Commerce, CaliforniaResponsibilities:· Schedule employees' subsequent jobs and assist with time studies, reporting monthly to the Plant Manager.· Provide Manufacturing Engineering support, including problem-solving and maintaining process documentation.· Ensure equipment and facility functionality to prevent downtime and scrap.· Promote safe practices in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.· Partner with the Production Department to facilitate predictive maintenance activities, minimize downtime and scrap, and provide feedback on equipment status to the Production Manager or Supervisors.· Direct and coordinate design, construction, modification, and maintenance activities for plant equipment and machinery.· Instruct shop employees on procedures/processes to ensure compliance with standards, practices, and policies.· Identify needs for major equipment repair and replacement, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, environmental stewardship, and safety.· Manage capital projects to meet timelines and approved costs.· Collaborate with Human Resources to apply HR policies and practices consistently.· Participate in meetings/calls to exchange information between plants/facilities.Requirements:· Exceptional communication skills and bilingual proficiency in English & Spanish.· Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and meticulous attention to detail.· Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Vision, MS PowerPoint, CAD modeling, and drafting.· Reliable transportation, good attendance, and the ability to follow directions.· Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.· Quick adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.· Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.· A strong understanding of manufacturing principles and practices.· Data analysis and interpretation skills.· Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work dynamically.· A commitment to safety standards and regulations.
