Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain general ledger accounts and assist in month-end closing procedures.
• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, deferrals, and other adjustments...
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Prepare and file various tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Contribute to process improvements and initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Lacerte, ultratax).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
