• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred)
• CPA required for Senior role
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with Great Plains and Management Reporter preferred
• Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical capabilities
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work extended hours during 5-day month-end close periods
• Willingness to work hybrid schedule (4 days remote, 1 day office)

• Execute month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform cash reconciliations for assigned business units
• Complete analysis for inventory reserve, bad debt allowance, and returns reserve
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting documentation
• Compile monthly balance sheet and P&L analysis
• Review and improve internal controls
• Support external audit processes
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests
• Participate in potential rotation opportunities across different business units
• Support royalty reporting and inventory management (for Publishing unit role)
