SUMMARY:
The Business Development Manager partners with the General Manager within assigned territories to sell high quality contract security services by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for sales in assigned region/territory; Produce sales results in alignment with targeted financial goals while following the Walden Security Sales Process;
• Prepares list of prospects from leads, internet sites and other accounts; Follows up on leads; Develops and builds relationships with contacts;
• Contacts and visits prospects to point out advantages of contract security services;
• Achieves weekly business development activities, including meeting and phone call goals;
• Obtains pertinent information concerning prospects' past and current contract security usage for use in sales presentation;
• Prepares bids/proposals submittals for client contracts;
• Ensure continuous client support and service needs are met by partnering with Branch Operations;
• Presents and negotiates rates with client; coordinate client contract renewals;
• May participate in collection of payments due or delinquent;
• Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database;
• Attends trade shows and other industry specific events.
• Have the ability to collaborate with multiple departments

• Maintain CRM on a daily basis
• Participate in multiple networking groups

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position will require frequent local travel. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required. Walden Security offers a vehicle reimbursement program for the use personal vehicles for business use.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous business to business sales experience is preferred. Prefer experience in contract security, other service or temporary industries or military/government sector.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and proposals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; CRM systems, Database software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT in particular)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires local frequent travel 30-50% usually by automobile and infrequent of town travel by automobile or airplane.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
