Supports business unit vision and corporate purpose while ensuring customer focus and a sense of urgency. Leads their functional staff through leadership, management, and teamwork and works cross functionally to support overall goals of the Electrical Division. Ensures brand compliance.Responsibilities• Directs and oversees all aspects of marketing the business units’ products including understanding market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field.• Develops and implements a marketing technology strategy that includes digital and direct to consumer.• Along with the product management team, responsible for managing the strategic product roadmap, product development, product launch, and product marketing in order to gain maximum benefit from each product.• Responsible for product marketing ideation as it pertains to the brand values and verticals that the brand operates within.• Develops and implements marketing programs aimed at increasing the adoption of our products through direct, distribution and retail channels.• Responsible for driving and promoting the Leviton brand within their own sub-brand, living and promoting the company core values and brand promise.• Attends customer meetings, trade shows and industry events as required.• Prepares accurate, up-to-date and concise oral and written reports and reviews on departmental progress and direction. Completes monthly reports and regular updates as requested from business unit management.• Assists senior management in developing and implementing long range strategic plans.• Hires, trains, coaches and develops staff members .• Develops and maintains budget for area of responsibility to support the marketing plans and implements the budget within the constraints established.• Support key sales calls as appropriate.• Collaborates across business units and with channels to ensure consistency in branding and execution of marketing collateral and product launches.• Manages business unit trade shows and merchandising recommendations.• Interacts with advertising and public relations agencies and provides direction for all advertising related activities for the business unit.• Works directly with product management and sales to prioritize marketing requirements.• Works with channel marketing, IT and sales operations to deliver solutions that deliver business success.• Participates actively on the Product Approval Committee providing expertise in their functional area while ensuring an overall Business Unit focus.Qualifications• Strong public speaking skills, with the ability to effectively present information to others• Excellent organizational, leadership, and management skills, with the ability to manage and direct projects• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels• Sound judgment in analyzing and recommending solutions• Ability to motivate and teach• Capable of making decisions leading to timely resolution of unresolved issues• Must be creative, innovative, resourceful, and able to think independentlyEducation & Experience• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BBA) in Marketing.
