Position Summary: As a Staff Software Engineer on the iOS Homepage Team at Walmart, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our mobile shopping experience. You will lead the development and optimization of the iOS platform’s homepage features, driving innovation and excellence in user experience. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of mobile platform challenges to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions.About Team: Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores, and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.What you'll do:• Lead Development Efforts: Architect, design, and implement complex features and functionalities for the iOS platform’s homepage. Ensure the delivery of high-quality code through best practices and modern development methodologies.• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Foster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement within the team.• Innovation and Optimization: Identify and drive opportunities for innovation and optimization. Enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of the iOS homepage experience.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Collaborate on defining project goals, deliverables, and timelines.• Code Quality and Review: Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback.• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the iOS platform. Implement solutions that address both immediate and long-term challenges.• User Experience Focus: Advocate for and implement features that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
