Location: Vienna, VirginiaJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $35 - 40 per hour Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Strategist to join their team on a contractor basis! In this role, you will support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of a multi-year strategic plan designed to maximize brand awareness across social media platforms. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that the social media strategies align with the broader enterprise and department goals, contributing to our client's success in a competitive digital landscape.Responsibilities:Support the execution and maintenance of a multi-year strategic plan to enhance brand awareness on social media platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise and departmental strategies.Assist in ensuring all social media activities adhere to governance policies and rules of engagement.Contribute input to the corporate social policy and eLearning module, guiding team members, leaders, and stakeholders on appropriate social media use.Support the implementation of paid social advertising programs and future marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.Assist in developing programs to foster positive member and prospect interactions, user-generated content (UGC), and testimonials on social media.Participate in developing strategies for establishing new social media platforms or utilizing new features such as Stories, livestreaming, and platform takeovers.Contribute to the planning of social media campaigns and editorial calendars, gathering insights on performance, and assisting in presenting actionable learnings to executive leaders.Support the strategic development and implementation of social media campaigns to leverage product and service offerings across all social platforms.Assist in maintaining paid social advertising budgets, platform budgets, and vendor budgets in support of social media initiatives.Participate in identifying challenges and developing effective strategies to resolve and support needs, opportunities, and solutions.Support and participate in a matrix of decision-making processes to ensure integration of business and marketing strategies across all social media platforms.Collaborate with internal and external communication partners to ensure alignment of strategies and tactics, and support the development and performance of analytics and metrics frameworks.Provide support in operationalizing social data across the organization to inform new strategies and improve processes.Build and maintain partnerships with third-party vendors and coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficiency and value in vendor relationships.Assist in developing recommendations to improve member experience through appropriate tone, sentiment, and messaging.Stay current with technology, government policies, industry best practices, and competitive insights. Contribute to and implement social media compliance and security programs.Contribute complex input to division leadership in response to inquiries from regulatory agencies and report social media complaint trends.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Working knowledge of social media platforms, review sites, and emerging media.Experience in developing and managing large corporate social media campaigns and related budgets.Proficiency with social media management systems (SMMS), employee advocacy tools, and paid social advertising platforms.Understanding of marketing principles such as branding, promotions, production, communications, and business strategies.Experience in strategic planning/project management for marketing or corporate communications.Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.Experience working with cross-functional teams on complex projects.Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Familiarity with media operations, specialized publications, and editorial practices.Analytical skills for summarizing information and identifying key elements.JOBID: 1062654#LI-CELLA#PL#LI-JK1Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Cella, a randstad digital company, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
