Position Summary...What you'll do...About the Team:The Technology Procurement Team is a dynamic and skilled group of professionals dedicated to managing all strategic and operational aspects of Technology procurement including category management of Hardware, Software, Cloud, Telecom and Professional Services for all of Walmart. Committed to driving efficiency, innovation, and cost-effectiveness, this team plays a crucial role in ensuring that our technology investments align with business objectives while maximizing value. The Technology procurement team manages a global spend of ~$6.0B+.About the Position:We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic individual to join our dynamic organization as the Manager of IT Telecom Procurement. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in executing our Telecom procurement strategy, fostering strong stakeholder alignment, optimizing costs, and ensuring that our technology investments align with our business objectives. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Telecom landscape, a proven track record in negotiating complex contracts, and the ability to drive efficiency and innovation in our Telecom procurement processes.Responsibilities include:• Spearhead initiatives to optimize telecom-related expenses, focusing towards high-impact projects and strategic initiatives.• Implement cost-effective procurement practices that contribute to bottom-line savings while maintaining a high standard of quality.• Ability to create spend dashboard and reporting for Telecom & analyze data to draw meaningful insights (using Excel, Power BI)• Exposure in Telecom Procurement in manage and negotiating for data circuits, voice with various Telecom providers.• Improve cross-functional collaboration by facilitating communication between IT, legal, finance, and business units.• Continuously evaluate and improve Telecom procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-market.• Conduct regular vendor performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service level expectations.• Experience in obtaining Stakeholder alignment & managing multiple suppliers• Assess and mitigate risks associated with Telecom procurement, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, IT, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.• Proven experience Telecom procurement role, demonstrating a successful track record in strategic planning and execution.• Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing complex Telecom contracts.• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.You'll make an impact by: (the four bullets are an example - please use skillsets that will be important for your role:As an individual contributor, your role is not just about managing transactions; it's about creating a lasting and positive impact on our organization's trajectory.
