Position Summary...What you'll do...• This position is located at our Bentonville, AR campus.*The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Energy Compliance team is looking for a new team member to support the development and management of Walmart's Energy Benchmarking and Building Performance Standards (BPS) programs and support of our Renewable Energy Portfolio. The Renewable Energy Manager role is critical as we continue to develop strategies to meet our energy commitments and respond to expanding requirements within the Benchmarking and BPS programs. This role will support multiple business partners in responding to regulatory requirements and program implementation of Walmart's energy efficiency strategy.What you'll do....• Manage all Renewable Energy Credit (REC) accounting for Walmart's Renewable Energy Portfolio across internal accounting systems as well as multiple national REC Registries such as PJM GATs, MRETs, WREGIS, etc.• Perform RECs reconciliations to align with Business Strategy, Utility Partnerships, and Renewable Energy Origination Team.• Manage all reporting requirements for buildings in jurisdictions for Energy Benchmarking and (BPS) through Energy Star Portfolio Manager as well as individual program portals.• Develop tools and automation to help improve data aggregation required for Energy Benchmarking and BPS reporting.• Support Walmart Renewable Energy Originators with REC deliveries and retirements from multiple developers and Renewable Energy Projects.• Work closely with third party contractors who are industry experts in Energy Benchmarking and BPS compliance.• Support internal and external ESG Reporting and functional governance reviews to meet quarterly and annual goals.• Work across various company departments such as Facilities Management, Real Estate, Utility Partnerships, etc. to implement and monitor energy efficiency programs to reduce energy usage.What you'll bring....• Experience with Energy Benchmarking Platforms such as Energy Star Portfolio Manager and program portals.• Significant experience in REC management registries.• A background in risk management or energy/commodities management.• A risk management related mindset that balances business needs and urgency when managing regulatory compliance space.• Strong communication skills to work across multiple internal departments and external regulators.• Experience working in cross-functional teams.• An understanding of Energy Deregulation and REC markets is required.The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role.
