The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in OS internals for Unix, OSX, and Windows, and will be well-versed in complex application connectivity flow, networking, and internet architecture. This role requires expertise in DNS, load balancers, firewalls, CDN, and packet analysis. The candidate should possess excellent troubleshooting skills, particularly in resolving issues related to end-user experience and application performance, and have a solid understanding of IT architectures. Our focus is on mitigating attack risks, securing cloud transformation, and fostering a culture of security and reliability within our teamWhat you'll do:Key Responsibilities:System Engineering and Troubleshooting:Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues related to OS internals (Unix, OSX, Windows).Analyze and resolve problems associated with network connectivity, application performance, and end-user experience.Conduct thorough packet analysis to diagnose and fix network and application issues.Network and Internet Architecture:Design, implement, and manage secure network architectures.Assist in recommending architecture or design changes needed to solve complex user experience and application connectivity performance issuesEnsure the security and performance of internet-facing services and applications.Application Connectivity and Performance:Understand and troubleshoot complex application connectivity flows.Identify and address performance bottlenecks in applications and network systems.Collaborate with application development and IT teams to improve overall system performance and reliability.Security and Compliance:Implement and enforce security policies and procedures across systems and networks.Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Stay updated with the latest security threats and mitigation techniques.IT Architecture and Strategy:Contribute to the design and implementation of IT architectures that support business goals.Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for system and network security.Drive initiatives to enhance the scalability, reliability, and security of IT infrastructure.What you'll bring:Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.) is a plus. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
