Warehouse & Material Handling Manager

Location: Lewisville, TX


About this opportunity

With over three years as an established Ericsson Production Site in the US, we are looking for a Warehouse & Material Handling Manager to lead the Warehouse & Material Handling department. Key aspects of the role include leading all Warehouse & Material Handling related activities to ensure production has access to the right components at the right time to meet customer demand. The chosen candidate will manage all Warehouse & Material Handling personnel as well as all material handling and warehousing process steps. This role will be focused on continuing to build up the organization, along with professional and personal development of the team personnel.


What you will do

  • Manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies, vision, and audit standards.

  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, material preparation, delivery to production, and outbound.

  • Further refine and document an accurate and efficient warehouse and material handling process.

  • Lead the Warehouse as a role model for your team and Factory, exemplifying Ericsson values of perseverance, professionalism, respect, and integrity.

  • Manage all warehouse & material handling processes and personnel in the most efficient way possible.

  • Continuously develop and improve the operations through analysis of KPIs and other performance data.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of inventory measures to reduce excess inventory on hand while still have enough resources to meet customer demand.

  • Establish layout and ensure efficient space utilization

  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.

  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system SAP

  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.

  • Actively engage and collaborate with factory stakeholders and effectively communicate updates and reporting.

  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees.

  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided


You will bring

  • Education: Academic degree or the equivalent level of knowledge relevant fields

  • 8+ years of relevant experience from production and/or warehouse operations and 3+ years leading a warehouse.

  • Manufacturing and warehouse processes knowledge

  • Technical skills in Excel, SAP, data management

  • Experience as a Warehouse Manager, Senior Managerial skills

  • Proven leadership behavior, interest and desire to lead people

  • Experience building up organizations is a plus

  • Knowledge of Ericsson, its products and processes

  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices

  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills


This role reports to the Head of Operations, Smart Factory.
