Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions-
Compare identifying information, counts and weights of incoming and outgoing shipments of cotton to verify against Bills of Lading, invoices, orders or other records.

Post weights and shipping charges, key into computer as to appropriate customer.

Record shortage and damage to cotton. Correspond with customer to rectify damages and shortages. Adjust complaints concerning billing or services rendered.

Ensure shipment meets specifications of accuracy and completeness.

Maintain inventory of Stock and Block cotton, plus issue reports as required to customer. Complete stock reports by compiling inbound and outbound information on Stock and Block cotton.

Prepare invoices and bills of lading, lists weight and identifying number of cotton, plus additional certification billing.

Input and retrieve data from the computer. Read computer files and gather records to compile needed data.

Process job orders to determine work priorities.

Perform clerical duties including relieving at the switchboard.

Issue and transmit all receipts via EWR as well as cancel receipts daily of all shipped bales.

Perform all related responsibilities as required.

Process and schedule loads through eCotton on behalf of each LDCCS Facility.

Process and maintain all data in regards to maintaining licensing insurance and other compliance activities for all LDCCS facilities.

Education/Professional Certifications/LicensesAssociate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school or two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups of supervisors or employees, and apply common sense and problem solving.

Good clerical skills with basic computer skills including spreadsheet.

Job requirements include standing, walking, sitting, use of hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools or controls. Must be able to reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Also have the ability to speak and hear.

Required to regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities are required. These include good close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision. Good depth perception and the ability to focus are necessary.

Decision Making/Accountability·Accountable for verifying and compiling records on certificated cotton, gin cotton and outbound cotton activity and coordinate these activities with all LDCCS Warehouse Managers.

Responsible for supplying shipping and receiving paperwork to Allenberg Logistics Department.
