Job Description

At the Bose Otay Mesa, CA location, the successful Warehouse Production Coordinator will be compelled by a need to push things forward and make things better.
The general functions of the position will coordinate up to 25 direct personnel. Complete the established production plans, including administrative transactions including adherence to all Company, site, and line policies and procedures are followed and ensure that all personnel are accomplishing the same. Address, and communicate to correct activities, performance, and behavior as needed. Provide a high-level of communication, ideas, or improvements. Confirm Back-flush is transacted in SAP timely and accurately. Fulfill the production program and goals of Quality and Scrap with established metrics in quantity, time, and form. Make sure that the line production follows the established requirements, chart and document any other official document. Skills to collaborate and communicate with personnel any production line changes. Develop the personnel on the ODL line including rotation for “Cross-training” and formal training. Practice respectful communication.
Special Functions:
  • Coordinate work and staff of 3 order demand lines.
  • Make product changes, using the available material to optimal productivity and other activities related the ODL (order demand line).
  • Be able to use properly and efficiently the SAP system commands related with operations.
  • Participate in the personnel selection for production.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Achieve consistently the ODL on-time deliveries.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed established productivity percentage in ODL.
  • Consistently maintain, on or below budget, the scrap cost allowed for ODL.
  • Provide contributions at the production area when process changes are required or at the introduction of new products.
  • Provide contributions for improvement, modification, equipment, and machinery utilization.
  • Report discrepancies established on SAP of material through the right use of QN’s.
  • Complete startup, startup check list, and report out.
  • Analyze and calculate labor for production need for overtime.
Skills, Education and Experience Required:
  • Education: associate degree required; bachelor's preferred.
  • Experience: At least One (1) year of successful experience in a Manufacturing Group Leader position.
  • Bilingual fluent English/Spanish spoken and written.
  • Ability and working knowledge of Windows system, and Microsoft applications (intermediate Excel Skill preferred)
  • Ability to interpret technical documents.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing techniques for decision making and problem solving like Pareto, 5 Why’s, SPC, Fishbone, etc.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.
  • ISO and IATF compliance knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
Compensation for this role for a candidate based in Otay Mesa, California is expected to be between paid hourly between $28.50 and $36.40. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on geographic locations, skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law. This role is also eligible to receive a bonus, which is not guaranteed and may be based on individual and company performance.
