Overview:
Job Summary Statement:
This position supervises and coordinates daily activities of workers engaged in materials movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining stock in warehouse.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.

Check specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders.

Assists with design and implementation of work methods and operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.

Reviews work processes, recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product or service, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.

Manages labor hours to meet budgetary standards and reduce overtime.
- Ensure loading methods are fully supported to meet company and customer requirements to include specialized loading methods such as floor loading, palletized loading and conveyor loading requirements.

Estimate material, time, and staffing requirements for a given project, based on work orders, job specifications, and experience.

Develop and produce reports to higher management consistently and accurately.

Examine freight to determine loading sequences. Responsible for accurate and timely loading and unloading of product throughout the warehouse.

Report nightly Distribution Center productivity metrics.

Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years working in warehouse environment; minimum of 2 years in supervisory/leadership role.

English language skills: Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.

Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Physical Demands: Warehouse and Office environment.

Work environment: Warehouse is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months.

Computer literate in the use of email, MS Word, MS Excel; must have Oracle knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Material Handling experience.

Some college.
