Staff Nurse II - Short Stay Unit - Full Time - 8hr - Days - AM Variable Shift - CNA

Salary Range: $82.89 - $110.51

Summary of Duties: The Staff Nurse II is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides fiscally responsible care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other health care team members; following the California Nurse Practice Act, standards set by other related regulatory bodies, and WHHS policies. This position is for SSU, which is comprised of Pre-Op Holding, Pre-Op Testing and Short Stay Unit.

Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN preferred or ADN with three years of specialty experience. 

Licensure/Certification Requirements: Current California RN license required. AHA BLS required. ACLS required.

Experience Requirements: Minimum of one year RN experience in an acute care hospital required. One year experience in Medical/Surgical unit required.

Special Skills/Abilities: Ability to work productively in a busy and complex environment. Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
