About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join the Finance team at Waterplan.
You will work in a fully remote distributed team across multiple disciplines at a science-oriented company. At Waterplan, you will have the chance to work at the forefront of our industry and with world-leading water and sustainability experts.
About your core focus:
Bookkeeping - Financial Reporting:
Collaborate closely with our accounting partner. Maintain strict financial controls, including reconciling trial balances and monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Readiness to assist with due diligence processes, providing accurate and organized financial data.
Maintain day-to-day operational activities including classifying each transaction into the corresponding accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
Managing AP/AR:
Oversee accounts payables including timely processing and payment of invoices.
Own revenue assurance and revenue recognition according to US GAAP.
Oversee vendor setup, issuance of purchase orders (POs), and invoices.
Maintain a daily updated forecast for both AP/AR allowing visibility and decision making.
Tax Compliance:
Collaborate with tax experts to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Assist with the preparation and review of tax filings to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor in Accounting.
CPA degree (preferred)
English proficiency
Based in Argentina
Startup experience
+5 years of experience working in accounting or auditing teams for companies operating in the U.S. (Understanding of GAAP standards)
Previous experience with accounting tool suite (Quickbooks)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Self-motivated and a proactive team player
Dedication to continual improvement; strong sense of ownership and accountability
Experience on a Software as a Service model (SaaS) is a plus
