  • Working alongside a dedicated team of investment consultants, as a Sales Director with Mercer you will assist our national practice in further developing our client value proposition across all of our various engagement models for organizations seeking alternative investment strategies and create sales plans to grow our business across North America
  • The Wealth Sales Director will be knowledgeable regarding the full spectrum of Mercer’s Wealth business – including our digital, advice, and delegated solutions for Alternatives investing

  • This position will be responsible for driving growth of a key strategic segment for Mercer and Marsh McClennan more broadly

We will count on you to:

  • Bring energy and passion for developing solutions for the Alternatives market and being a key contributor to the growth of our practice
  • Uphold sales goals and targets, while bringing considerable investment expertise in the Alternatives space
  • Strategize account expansion initiatives, directing and conducting thorough research through various channels of information and targeting specific accounts leveraging a large professional network to proactively generate growth within an area of specialization
  • Represent the business in the industry and thoroughly address all RFPs, develop sales presentations and formal sales proposals for related accounts
  • Oversee all phases of the sales process while negotiating outcomes that create value for the account and the business
  • Leverage an advanced awareness and understanding of client needs and internal service offerings to deliver the firm to accounts and clients and facilitate relationships to diversify account involvement and maximize value
  • Organize, attend, speak and present at relevant industry conferences
  • Help prepare industry thought pieces for clients and prospects

What you need to have:

  • BA/BS degree
  • Strong track record of achieving sales goals
  • 10-15 years of institutional sales experience and a network of alternative investors, preferably with a background in alternative investments

What makes you stand out:

  • Experiential knowledge of the Alternative Investments consulting Industry
  • A network of large institutional investors
  • Preferably some experience with US public pensions
  • Experiential knowledge of the Alternative Investments consulting Industry
