Welder

As an entry level weld employee you will be responsible for supporting the weld operation in a refrigeration manufacturing organization. This position will be assigned to work in the fabrication department. This position works Monday – Thursday (4pm-2:30 am), ten hours a day with occasional overtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventative maintenance
• Perform quality checks on all frames to ensure highest quality of frames
• Complete work required within the cycle time
• Must be able to mig weld
• Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment
• Maintain shop supplies and floor stock and tools used in product processes
• Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies
• Maintain departmental quality standards
• Other duties as assigned

Education / Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience/Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• 1 year welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 35 pounds
• This position also involves routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 35 pounds, weight may exceed that value for intermittent periods.
• Ability to use hand tools such as battery operated tools, hand click torque tools, tie wrap cutters, nut drivers, and DC electric tools
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.32 - $25.22 per hour
