As part of a team that serves one in three American households, you will play a vital role in living our commitment to the highest ethical standards and maintaining the valued trust of our customers and communities.Our Head of Strategy for Merchant Services (Strategy & Planning Director) covers job responsibilities for establishing the strategic direction of the business that aligns to the immediate and long-term goals by assessing current and future state and establishing the action plans to execute.In this role, you will:• Lead the strategic planning process and development of long-range strategic plans for Small Business consistent with Wells Fargo's strategic planning process• Provide thought leadership to develop and implement strategic solutions to highly complex strategic and business problems• Manage and develop specialized teams of less experienced managers and professional individual contributors• Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including peers and more experienced leadership• Partner closely with the management of Finance, Human Resources, and other functions• Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Strategy and Planning• Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategyRequired Qualifications• 8+ years of Strategy and Planning experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education• 4+ years of experience working in Corporate Strategy roles either directly for a banking or financial institution and/or experience with a management consultancy firm working on large-scale strategic initiative projects for banking• 4+ years of Management experienceDesired Qualifications• MBA preferred• Excellent consultative skills with strong ability to problem solve and identify business opportunities• Ability to structure, analyze, syndicate and synthesize recommendations for highly complex issues into impactful presentations to tell the story of a business• Ability to lead by influence and cross-partner with senior business executivesJob ExpectationsCandidates must be willing to work on site in one of the following locations: Charlotte, NC (Uptown location), New York City, NY (Midtown Manhattan) or Wilmington, DEPay Range for New York City, NY: $144,400 - $300,000 annual base salary. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
