About This RoleWells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager as part of the Middle Market Credit Execution Team. This role is responsible for credit portfolio management to meet the long-term financial objectives and risk tolerance for commercial banking clients. Serves as a key member of a client's deal team. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com .In This Role, You Will• Evaluate and approve credit requests and portfolio monitoring activities for middle market commercial and industrial companies and investor real estate sponsors• Participate in performing financial research, underwriting, and structuring of relationships within Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area• Review and research business financial statements and tax returns that require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors• Resolve moderately complex issues in conjunction with functional Commercial Banking Portfolio Management team, to meet project deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements• Collaborate and consult with Commercial Banking Portfolio Management peers, colleagues, and mid level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals• Lead projects and teams or serve as a mentor for less experienced individualsRequired Qualifications:• 5+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:• Portfolio management and underwriting experience specific to commercial & industrial and investor real estate credit requests• Experience negotiating loan documentation and working with attorneys and loan administrators on closing transactions• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty group: lending, loan servicing, products, and credit practices• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of risk management• Experience effectively working and communicating with customers• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills• Previous experience using Blast, Creditview or Ncino• Demonstrated experience showing attention to detail, self-motivation and the ability to independently problem solvePay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
