About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Scrum Master for its CLAR Tech - Independent Testing & Validation (ITV) Product team.In this role, you will:Be responsible for managing and evolving Scaled Agile portfolio of the high complexity that includes Scrum and Kanban teams. Facilitate the Agile process on teams with significant cross-functional impacts. Guide the agile scrum and kanban team(s) and organization to follow generally accepted Agile practices and daily activities to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment to achieve aligned team, product area and product objectives. Use empirical data to help the team(s) assess their ‘Agile Maturity’, optimize agile team velocity to organizational KPIs, and identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance. Coach agile team(s) to deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met. Partner with discipline managers to convey their concerns to teams about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards. Partner with product owner(s) to ensure continuous refinement of backlog, which may include stories from multiple teams and/or features from other product areas. Completion of some work may depend on non-agile work teams. Facilitate PI planning and L2 Agile events. Drive Agile adoption across all levels in the organization. Facilitates and is accountable for owning the Agile and/or Scaled Agile ceremonies for the scrum team(s). Partner with product owners, Dev/tech leads, Agile transformation Leads /product/area stakeholder's managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team(s) and escalates key risks and issues impeding team effectiveness. Identify skills and competencies of scrum team members and makes adjustments accordingly to promote development and highly effective teams.• The role is a hands-on Scrum master/Kanban individual contributor role, infers being a hands-on guide and coach for teams working on both Scrum and Kanban agile team types.• Must be a JIRA expert.• Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance.• Optimize feature cycle time, lead time and Work in progress limits for Kanban teams.• Oversee systemic impediments to team agility and guide the teams on methods to escalate when needed to prevent challenges from becoming blockers.• Practice and promote an environment of IT-led innovation and creative culture.• Promotion of agile practices and product management within business teams we support.• Educate and coach agile teams (product owners and delivery team) and build stronger cross-functional agile teams.• Ensure Tech compliance for applications if/as applicable tied to the team/product area.• Coach and partner with Dev team members, POs, to support application compliance.• Support in delivery of features that meet acceptance criteria and definition of done according to your Product /Product Area roadmap• Ensure transparency through maintenance of our Agile tools including Registry, Jira, and Jira Align. Play an active role of Scrum Master/Kanban Lead and thrive to meet/exceed the objectives for Agile teams.• Coach and support App/Delivery team members to achieve/exceed Agile Transformation Eng OKRs.• Drive and coordinate efforts within the team/product to ensure Non-Eng Metrics Agile Transformation OKRs are achieved/exceeded. Coordinate and support timely reporting of monthly Agile OKRs; Ensure ECM and SDLC Compliance for product and team level requirements as applicable. Demonstrated improvement in Team Agile Maturity over the course of the year.• Collaborate with Product Area and Product organization stakeholders, Agile transformation leadership for the product/ line that the SM/KL is aligned to build strong agile teams with product mindset. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Train other Scrum master's and Kanban Leads and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.Required Qualifications, US:• 5+ years of Practicing Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.• 5+ years Scaled Agile experience.• Accredited Scrum Master Certification• 2+ years acting as a Release LeadDesired Qualifications, US• Experience coordinating with leaders of multiple departments across an enterprise• Accredited SAFE Certification• Prior experience having worked as a Scrum master where the technology solution is RSA Archer or similar Governance Risk and Compliance related (GRC) solution• Prior Agile Coach experience• Financial Services Experience• Prior Wells Fargo ExperienceJob Expectations:• Must be able to work onsite in one of posted locations. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
