About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead UI Software Engineer who will be responsible for designing and leading low latency micro UIs within the Spread Technology team in Fixed Income.Job Role and Responsibility:Design low latency eTrading, pricing, and risk applications for Fixed Income asset classes such as Structured Products, Credit, and Municipal Bonds. Implement complex, low-latency, HTTP and Web Socket based real-time micro Uls in JavaScript/Typescript, Angular, AgGrid and other third-party UI libraries. Leverage OpenFin or similar Desktop container and workspace libraries to build Industry standard FDC3 micro applications that can interact with each other and other external applications such Bloomberg Terminal and Salesforce via OpenFin API. Have complete ownership of Code Quality, Pull Request Reviews, DevOps, and stability of the UI Codebase. Lead and execute on Best Practices and provide guidance to the team on Unit Testing and Automation. Engage Product Management and Business Users to understand requirements, document them, and establish a concrete Book of work for the team to build, test, and deploy the features. Provide second level of Support to assist the Primary Production Support team and investigate and troubleshoot daily Production Issues. Mentor junior talent in the team and provide guidance on the applications we develop in terms of design and technical solutions. Telecommuting is permitted up to 3 days a week. Position must appear in person to the location listed as the work address.In this role, you will:• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorRequired Qualifications:• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education• 5+ years of experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS• 5+ years of experience with Typescript• 5+ years of experience with Client-side UI frameworks such as Angular/React• 5+ years of experience with JSON, REST, XML• 5+ years of experience building real-time UIs using web sockets• 2+ years of experience using headless web containers such as OpenFin/Glue42/FinSembleDesired Qualifications:• Familiarity with in-memory caches such as Redis• Familiarity with distributed Caches such as Apache Ignite• Familiarity with NoSql Databases such as MongoDB• Familiarity with event driven messaging frameworks using Solace or Apache Kafka• Prior experience managing UI mock-ups using tools such as Figma• Knowledge of Capital Markets Fixed Income domain• Basic understanding of Bond Pricing, Bond Risk, Bond PnL, and Position Management• Basic understanding of Trade lifecycle, Position Management, and End of Day MarkingLocation:150 E 42nd St. - New York, NY 10017300 S Brevard St. - Charlotte, North Carolina 28202Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
