OVERVIEW

Welo Data is seeking Data Annotators to contribute to an AI technology project. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of data annotation, quality assurance, and following guidelines to meet quality standards. They will play a pivotal role in updating our machine-learning models and ensuring their efficacy.

Project Details

Job Title: Data Specialist

Location: Onsite office in Redmond, WA

Hours: 40 hours weekly

Start date: ASAP

Employment Type: W2 Full-Time Employee

Pay rate: $19.5/ hour

• Data Annotation and Evaluation: 
• Annotate natural language data in English accurately within deadlines, adhering to set guidelines. 
• Participate in data generation, data rating, and quality assurance tasks.
• Engage in data relevance tasks, ensuring data sets are aligned with project goals. 

• Quality Assurance and Analysis: 
• Implement basic quality control measures and ensure the reliability of processed data.  
• Recognize error patterns and report anomalies for further investigation. 
• Utilize intermediate data analysis techniques to extract insights and inform decision-making. 
• Arbitrate discrepancies effectively, ensuring consistent data quality. 
• Deliver detailed reports on findings as needed, including aspects such as utterance quality, LLM evaluation, ASR bug tracking, and customer pain points to be reviewed by the User Experience Research team. 

• Bachelor's degree
• C1/C2 English Proficiency level
• Experience in Linguistics, Communication, or a related field is preferable 
• Experience with data annotation, data evaluation, and quality assurance
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Capable of adapting to changing priorities as needed
