The HR Generalist will support a diverse team of over 300 aviation professionals and will be responsible for multiple areas within HR including but not limited to benefits administration, leave management, safety, training, payroll, performance management, HR compliance, onboarding, employee relations, record keeping, compensation, recruiting, affirmative action plan, and managing the company’s anti-drug & alcohol misuse program.

Duties & Responsibilities- Participates in the new hire on-boarding process with all employees.
- Performs benefits administration to include new hire benefit orientations; monitors and approves local benefit management system changes, reviews and approves monthly intercompany benefit invoices from corporate; and meets open enrollment corporate deadlines.
- Oversees the administration of employee leaves under FMLA and/or ADA.
- Coordinates and tracks the completion of required training programs for all employees.
- Support successful execution of performance review cycles and management of in-house apprentice program.
- Regularly monitors, analyzes and updates compensation ranges for all positions within the company; reviews and edits job descriptions as necessary or requested by management; conducts salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget) on an annual basis within corporate guidelines.
- Supports HR and recruiting efforts as needed.
- Performs directly or supports ADP payroll tasks for 300+ employees including bi-weekly processing and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Ensures compliance with and coordinates required drug/alcohol testing per DOT/FAA and company policy guidelines.
- Manages the offboarding process, facilitating in-depth collection of transitioning employee feedback.
- Participates, plans and coordinates employee celebration and recognition program events and activities.
- Compiles and submits to the Director of Human Resources monthly HR metrics & reports.
- Guide, train, and direct leaders on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal and corporate compliance.
- Provides human resources consultation and guidance to employees to include coaching and counseling on policy interpretation.
Qualifications & Job Requirements - Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of current, hands-on human resources work experience
- PHR or other HR Certification preferred
- Advanced system knowledge in all Microsoft suite applications
Other Prerequisites- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
- Valid Driver’s license
Work Environment & Physical Requirements - Work is primarily performed in an office environment and requires sitting 6-8 hours a day. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs. and constantly require clear vision, repetitive movement of wrist, hands and/or fingers, sufficient personal mobility to operate in a general office environment.
