US Logistics Specialist

Not all heroes wear capes — but plenty of them use toilet paper

Want to challenge yourself at a high-growth startup AND make a difference in the world? Come join the revolootion!

Funny name, serious business

We make eco-friendly products and donate 50% of our profits to provide clean water and help build toilets for the billions of people who lack proper access. So far, we’ve contributed over $11.22 million AUD (roughly $7.5 million USD) to fund sanitation projects around the globe. Basically, we’re really good at doing good.

With hubs in Australia, the Philippines, China, the US, UK and Europe, our amazing team of 200+ work to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next couple of years, we’re hoping to increase our annual donation tenfold to get us closer to our dream of everyone in the world having access to clean water and sanitation services.

A bit about the role

Our Global Logistics team is renowned for making magic happen. And by magic, we mean delivering much needed toilet paper to the doorsteps of customers across North America, Australia, the UK and Europe. For us, it’s more than just about getting boxes from warehouse to doorstep, it’s about ensuring that we uphold our brand and values at every step - delightful, sustainable and socially responsible.

Reporting to our US Logistics Director, you’ll provide the local expertise, operations and rigor to keep the wheels turning and the machine humming on our North American logistics as we scale and diversify. You’ll manage partners and improve processes to unlock opportunities to make product delivery an even more delightful, sustainable and efficient component of our customer experience.

If you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in:

  • You’ve collaborated to develop a simplified & robust invoice validation procedure that identifies all incorrect billing and ensures credits are collected.
  • You’re the team’s go-to for weekly, monthly and quarterly cost trends.
  • You successfully launched and made inbound & outbound delivery plans for our first ever Limited Edition Winnie the Pooh Deforestation book that had amazing industry & customer reviews.
  • Through extensive research, planning, and coordination you developed warehousing and order processing procedures to ship out our first ever US Amazon and Retail Shipments. You are SO excited to walk through the aisles of our retail partner and see your logistics come to life!
  • You dove into Netsuite training and developed order reporting that has now automated our daily order checks and made time for more strategic work to be done.
  • You successfully launched a new regional carrier on the US west coast and through extensive spreadsheet analysis, you’ve quantified our annual value creation.
  • You took a trip to one of our 3PL warehouses to help find efficiencies with our onsite co-packing process and spent time building amazing relationships with our partners.

Let’s talk about you

You’re all about logistics and global team building.

You’ve come to appreciate the world of logistics for the value it brings and the deep understanding of cost drivers & partnership dynamics. You’re able to structure and process cost drivers and derive insightful conclusions, and you exhibit a probing mind that achieves penetrating insights.

You like to keep your hands full.

If you worked at a circus, you’d be their star juggler. You’re used to keeping many balls in the air at once, you love the variety and can keep it all organised.  You’re able to easily switch gears between tactical tasks and creative / strategic thinking quickly and efficiently.

You are obsessed with data and use it to drive actionable outcomes.

Your insights are converted into action items resulting in measurable month over month improvement.

You're a people person.

You’ve found yourself thriving in the world of logistics as it provides so many opportunities to work with people. From your team, to your partners, to your customers—you’ve honed your craft in building relationships, and you pride yourself on identifying what’s important for all parties.

You love finding creative and innovative solutions.

Who doesn’t love dabbling with a creative pursuit or improving technically?! To achieve creative and innovative outcomes, you’re excited to encourage alternative ways to get to think about the tough problems you see in logistics to get to a successful outcome.

Why should you work with us?

First off, as a certified B Corp™, we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the highest standards of social and environmental impact. With our most recent score of 125.5 we’re in very good company with other exceptional B Corps around the world.

We also believe that helping to make the world a better place should be rewarded accordingly – that’s why we offer competitive, market informed salaries, meaningful support towards healthcare for our team around the world, generous paid leave, tailored learning and development opportunities, and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).

Our engagement surveys (thanks Culture Amp!) tell us that our team is really proud (98%) to work for Who Gives A Crap and, well, we couldn’t be more proud of that.

Have you made it this far?

If you’re still reading, we think there’s a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here’s the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don’t check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all.

Want a little more detail on how we think about compensation? Ok here goes…

We think carefully about compensation for every role we design and bring to life at Who Gives A Crap.

We strive for equitable internal compensation of our team and ensure our pay is competitive with the external market. We invest time and resources to gather accurate and reliable information and create space for confidential and candid conversations with each and every applicant regarding salary expectations so that we can bring all three points of data together when forming a salary band.

Final offers may vary from the range shown which takes all the above into consideration as well as your unique skill set and experience and which city you live in. The range shared is a base salary, so look forward to our generous benefits and perks package on top!

All that being said, if you don’t feel the band is quite right, or if you’re ruling yourself out for whatever reason, please reach out, we’d love to chat!
