With an empathetic approach, you'll conduct thorough and impartial investigations, collaborating closely with Human Resources Business Partners, Operations, Legal, Asset Protection, and other stakeholders, all under the guidance of seasoned Team Member Relations Investigators.Location:This position will work remotely and is preferred to be in the Central or Mountain Time Zones.Key Responsibilities :• Investigate Sensitive Issues: Use excellent listening and analytical skills to c onduct prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into team member complaints.• Collaborate: Partner with HR, Employment Law, and other stakeholders to conduct fai r investigations and propose remedial actions based on findings.• Lead Investigations: Manage investigations end-to-end, including complaint intake, background research, investigative interviews, and debrief meetings with HR.• Communicate: Utilize excellent written and oral communication skills to conduct effective investigations and to draft and deliver accurate , timely , and effective Investigation Summary Reports.• Develop Resources: Build and maintain a central repository of investigation files, policies, procedures, and tools.• Enhance Systems: Assist with case management system enhancements and implementation.• Train and Educate: Assist with the coordination and delivery of training on best practices and policies.• Other Projects: Contribute to various other projects as assigned.Skills and Qualifications :• Education and Experience: BA/BS degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a retail environment is a plus.• HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of Human Resources concepts, practices, programs, and methodologies.• Organization : Excellent m ulti- t asking and prioritization skills ; ability to conduct multiple thorough investigations in a timely manner .• Legal Acumen: Familiarity with labor and employment laws and issues, including FMLA, ADA, sexual harassment and discrimination , as well as federal, state, and local regulations .• Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively when conducting an investigation and to adapt to different styles and processes when act ing as note-taker and witness on investigations led by colleagues.• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills for d rafting and d elivering Investigation Summary Reports.• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Kronos, and HRIS systems (Workday preferred).• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to remain objective, respectful and diplomatic in difficult situations , develop trust and rapport with team members, and influence partners and business leaders.
