Location: Hoboken, NJ or Remote (USA)About the role: Director, Strategic Sales, AmericasThis critical role leads the Strategic Sales team in the Americas covering key customer accounts in the US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Managing the team of Strategic Account Managers and Account Managers located across the region, the focus is on implementing successful Transformational Read & Publish agreements with research intensive universities and consortia and growing revenue across our non-journal portfolio.How you will make an impact• Sales Leadership: secure renewals and identify up sell/cross sell opportunities withinassigned territories; diligent approach to forecasting, constantly thinking about customer satisfaction and experience• Effective management of direct reports in order to attain and exceed sales plans.• Implement best practices with sales teams in line with our intent to instil a culture of high sales performance.• Accountable for consistent, effective and reliable sales forecasting and opportunity pipeline management.• Collaborate other Sales Leaders to drive the implementation of our global strategic objectives in the Library sector.What we look for:• A minimum of 5 years sales management experience• 10 years experience in the library / publishing industry• High fluency around OA trends, in region and globally• Experience selling and managing complex customer solutionsExperience managing geographically and culturally diverse teams• About Wiley:We are in one of the most dynamic periods in our history as technology, globalism and economic diversity create far-reaching changes in the world.
