Windows System Engineer

Job Description

  • Active Directory (AD) Administration including DNS and group policy management in a multi-site environment.
  • Building and administering Windows servers and accompanying infrastructure, maintaining capacity and performance in enterprise environment
  • Develop automation in PowerShell for deployment and configuration of windows sever systems
  • Manage various IT and Business applications to optimize employee collaboration and operations efficiency
  • Patching and remediating known vulnerabilities across the landscape
  • Manage Azure Hybrid cloud and O365 environment with PowerShell scripting
  • Providing operating system and application support for systems running Windows OS, IIS,
  • Identification, tracking and change management coordination for vulnerabilities across the enterprise as well as patching and remediating known vulnerabilities across the landscape
  • Actively participating in technology refresh projects, design and building new systems, and migrating services
  • Providing technical and security support in a large 24x7 data center environment

Qualification

  • 7 years of experience in Windows System Administration
  • Strong PowerShell experience in writing scripts for server build automation and automating periodical administrative tasks
  • Experience in configuring Active Directory and GPOs, in a multi-domain environment
  • Strong candidates must possess a high level of the Windows Operating system theoretical and technical experience.
  • Experience managing Azure hybrid cloud and O365 with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with hardware, Operating System, and application monitoring
  • Experience in vulnerability discovery and remediation, security incidents emergency response and remediation
  • Experience with backup and system recovery procedures
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, and other relevant protocols
  • Strong customer service and team skills, proven customer interaction and customer support experience

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent education and experience)
  • 7 years of experience in Windows system administration
  • 3 years of PowerShell experience
  • Good have experience in managing Azure and O365
  • Windows certifications is a plus

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90000-$125000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion.
