About the Program:

Wing is hosting a 12 week paid internship during the summer of 2025. It will be an in-person, hybrid internship based in Palo Alto, CA with start dates either in May or June.

About the Opportunity:

Wing is looking for a Hardware Reliability Engineer Intern to join our Hardware Reliability team based in Palo Alto, CA.  Our team evaluates the reliability and durability of our hardware, develops new tests, and performs failure analysis to constantly improve the robustness and reliability of our drone and ground infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

  • Evaluate the durability of a hardware component, including developing tests, collecting and analyzing data, assessing failure modes, and recommending potential design improvements.

What You’ll Need:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, graduating between December 2025 and August 2026
  • Comfortable with hands-on work in a lab, such as hardware testing and failure inspection
  • Able to construct and follow a detailed hardware test plan
  • Familiarity with tools to acquire, log, and analyze data (e.g. temperature, force, current, voltage)
  • Ability to work independently to investigate issues and communicate findings to cross-functional teams
  • Completed an introductory statistics course or equivalent
  • Experience debugging, troubleshooting, or investigating hardware failures
  • Strong attention to detail
