Release Manager

WINGS ICT Solutions is looking for a Release Manager to join our team and contribute to ongoing and upcoming projects. As a Release Manager, you will work as an expert acrossBanking Application implementation projects. You will have the opportunity to work close to our clients, in order to understand their requirements and to translate them to functional specifications.

The main responsibilities will involve:

• Operate the end-to-end Release Management process for all deployments.
• Develop and maintain the release schedule, collaborating with development teams, operations, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure release plans align with business goals and priorities.
• Create, maintain, and communicate the release calendar whilst tracking updates and analyzing their impact/risk level to up and downstream systems.
• Maintain and keep an order in the Jira for the delivered packages.
• Communicate the release and deployment requests to the customer.
• Technical assistance to the development team for the rules they need to follow in order to align with the process.
• Facilitate post-release reviews and continuous improvement processes to enhance the efficiency of future releases.

Educational requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Engineering. Relative postgraduate degree will be considered an asset.

Desired experience and skills:

• Proven experience of at least 4 years of implementation in any of the above.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a distributed team adhering to strict deadlines and challenging targets.
• Excellent command of the Greek and English language (written & verbal)
• Analytical thinking with problem-solving abilities

Desired but not mandatory:

• Good understanding of RedHat Enterprise Linux, administration experience
• Good knowledge and bash/corn/other unix shell scripting
• Comfortable with scripting in python or another popular scripting language
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
• Experience from the banking and financial industry
