The Role and What You’ll Do: 

  • Qualifies requests and briefs. 

  • Develops profit, sourcing, and negotiation strategy. 

  • Point of contact for vendor destination management meeting requests. 

  • Works closely with Client Services, Creative, Hospitality, and Production on vendor negotiations, vendor performance and unique programming ideas. 

  • Maintains initiative-taking, positive, and open line of communication with client and account teams to ensure understanding of deliverable timelines and roles and responsibilities. 

  • Leads program forecasting and updating business management system with current financials up until the file is turned over to operations. 

  • Assist Client Services team in managing and planning site inspection documents. 

  • As needed, arrange brainstorm and creative sessions for destination and programming ideation 

  • Maintain final electronic files through the process as required by company standard operating procedures. 

  • Prepare and conduct turnover meetings to the assigned Client Services Team 

  • Develop and maintain excellent and professional working relationships with industry vendors and clients. 

  • Look to develop workflow that will help strengthen the cohesiveness between other departments. 

  • High-level of accuracy and diligence 

  • Lead RFPs, RFIs, presentation deliverables and special projects as assigned. 

You Have These: 

  • Knowledge of MICE Industry 

  • Certified Meeting Professional, Meeting Manager, Event Professional (CMP, CMM, CSEP), Project Management certifications or similar preferred

  • Minimum of 10 + years’ experience in planning, sourcing, and designing with a hotel, convention center, DMC, Production Company, or 3rd Party Agency 

  • Strong Computer Skills:  Excel, Word and power point 

  • Initiative-taker, motivated, and resourceful
