Contract Human Resources Data Entry Specialist

About the Role 

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Contract Human Resources Data Entry Specialist. This role is onsite in either NYC or NJ - this is NOT a remote position. This role will primarily involve transferring data of new hires from our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) into our existing Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR processes, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for accuracy. This is a temporary contract position to assist with the transition period as we implement our new HRIS. The contract will be for approximately five months.  

Responsibilities 

  • Data Entry: Accurately inputting data of new hires, including personal information, employment details, and other relevant data, from the ATS into the HRIS. 
  • Data Verification: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all entered information by cross-referencing between the ATS and HRIS systems. 
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting regular quality checks to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in the data entry process. 
  • Timeliness: Meeting established deadlines for data entry tasks to ensure a smooth transition of information between systems. 
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of data entry activities, including any issues encountered and resolutions implemented. 
  • Communication: Collaborating closely with the TA & HR teams to address any concerns or queries related to the data entry process. 
  • Confidentiality: Handling sensitive employee information with the utmost confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations. 

Role Details 

  • Duration: This is a temporary contract position for the duration of the HRIS implementation project, estimated for five months 
  • 3 Shifts Available: 8:00 am-4:00 pm,10 am-6pm, 12pm-8pm  
  • Location: Parsippany, NJ or New York, NY 
  • Pay Rate: $25 per hour   

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Experience: Previous experience in HR data entry or related administrative roles is preferred. 
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks. 
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and address inquiries promptly. 
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using computer systems and familiarity with HRIS platforms; experience with ATS and HRIS integration is a plus. 
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in processes and systems as we implement the new HRIS. 
  • Confidentiality: Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
