Manager, Strategic Finance

Our Strategic Finance team is responsible for accelerating the growth of our business by providing financial insights for strategic decision-making. The team is responsible for owning the company’s budget, driving annual and quarterly planning processes, and making investment decisions to efficiently deploy the company’s resources. The Manager of Strategic Finance is a highly visible role that will partner cross-functionally and with the leadership team on reporting, long-term projects, and opportunistic initiatives.

What you'll do:
  • Build and own the financial modeling tools that support the company’s reporting and planning processes, and drive long-term strategic decision making 
  • Perform monthly P&L forecast, variance analysis and drive operational rigor and insights for our monthly and quarterly planning processes
  • Drive on-going improvements to the company’s overall financial reporting, planning, forecasting and budgeting process
  • Build trusted partnerships with internal teams to help evaluate tradeoffs and investments for long-term projects
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze unit economics and operational metrics that are key to our business success
  • Prepare presentations with financial insights to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide analytical, modeling and due diligence support for fundraising and corporate financing activities as needed
  • Be a thought leader on the broader industry, macroeconomic trends, and competitor updates


Who you are:
  • 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, strategic finance, corporate finance, FP&A, or related fields
  • Experience developing and maintaining financial models including three-statement models from scratch 
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with an understanding of unit economics and ROI analysis 
  • An effective communicator, with the ability to drive consensus across cross-functional teams and influence decision making
  • A problem solver, with an inquisitive work style and keen attention to detail, but also able to see the big picture
  • A self starter who is capable of driving business results without significant supervision 
  • The ability to bring structure to ambiguous areas of opportunity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment

Nice to haves:
  • SQL experience
  • Netsuite and Looker experience, or equivalent 
  • Knowledge of marketplace business models


Pay Range:
  • The expected pay range for this position is $122,000 - 150,000/year. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company's sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, and years and depth of relevant experience. Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Wonolo’s equity plan as well as a range of health and wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
