About the Team

The Enterprise Identity organization supports Identity Security, Architecture, and Governance for the Workday Enterprise.

About the Role

This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government which, due to federal government security requirements, mandates that all Workday personnel working on the contracts be United States citizens (naturalized or native).

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of displaying exceptional skills and ambition to join our team as a Sr. Federal Enterprise & Identity Manager within our organization! Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture guidance of Enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) programs aligned with federal cybersecurity mandates such as NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.

  • Solid understanding of federal security controls and compliance requirements for IL3-IL5 systems, aligned with DoD and FedRAMP standards.

  • Establish, enforce, and maintain enterprise security and IAM policies, standards, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with federal frameworks.

  • Design and architect scalable enterprise identity architectures, including AuthN (authentication), AuthZ (authorization), MFA, and lifecycle management technologies for secure access across federal systems and cloud environments.

  • Support various areas of the business ensuring alignment with enterprise security & identity strategies.

  • Maintain Zero Trust principles across the enterprise, ensuring identity is a foundational pillar in alignment with federal guidance.

  • Ensure scalable solutions are implemented to maintain audit readiness, support external and internal assessments and proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies related to enterprise security and identity.

  • Direct and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers/architects, ensuring the development of scalable, secure, and compliant enterprise architectures.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise security, identity and access management, or cybersecurity leadership roles.

  • 5+ years of experience managing teams, including security architects, engineers, and/or technical leads.

Other Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with federal regulatory compliances & controls.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.

  • Proven success in navigating federal compliance requirements related to IT security and Identity security.

  • Strong knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, including identity as the core perimeter, and integration across networks, endpoints, and cloud services.

  • Familiarity with RBAC, PBAC, ILM, PAM and identity governance frameworks (IGA).

  • General knowledge of Corporate/IT systems and their use within designed systems for use within Federal environments and ensuring alignment with non-federal architectures.

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams, including architects and engineers.

  • Solid ability to translate technical requirements into business strategies and articulate solutions to both technical and non-technical customers.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence executives, collaborate across departments, and lead enterprise-level federal IT and identity initiatives.


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $195,700 USD - $293,600 USD


 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $177,100 USD - $312,000 USD
