Fundraising Operations Manager, Gift Entry

World Central Kitchen, Inc. (WCK) seeks a talented team member to serve as Manager, Fundraising Operations to join our growing Development Team. In this hands-on management role, you will accomplish your goals by effectively leading the Gift Entry team in the efficient and accurate intake, processing, and recording of all the donations received from the generous supporters of World Central Kitchen.

This role will report to the Director, Development Operations. This role requires a sincere commitment to WCK’s mission, the proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This position is intended to be based in Washington DC, with 3-4 days on-site per week.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage, track, and report on the lifecycle of gift receipts
  • Provide effective guidance and oversight to gift entry team members
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of current processes and oversee process changes
  • Build and share expertise and knowledge about all of WCK’s giving channels
  • Ensure accurate and timely integration between Accounting, Salesforce NPSP, and Sage Intacct
  • Manage a productive working relationship with WCK’s lockbox vendor and optimize these processes
  • Establish written guidelines and procedures related to gift entry
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Fundraising gift processing role
  • 1+ years of experience in gift entry with Salesforce NPSP
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising and leading a team in a related setting
  • Demonstrated experience in clearly and accurately communicating in a team setting
  • Clear understanding of the challenges of high volume, multi-channel giving
  • Direct experience with gift entry, data file processing, and uploads
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks appropriately and effectively
  • Proficient in the analysis and interpretation of information to solve problems
  • Desire to learn new technology and methods to achieve results
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and responsive to production challenges

Preferred candidates will also have previous experience working in a fundraising, development, or an operations environment, experience coordinating with outside vendors, and multicultural experience.
