ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Since then, for 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to build a world where families thrive and communities flourish.


Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.

 


World Relief is seeking a Partner Care Event Coordinator to work closely alongside our Senior Manager, Partner Care to curate and resource the fundraising team to deliver partner care elements across the World Relief portfolio of donors and prospective donors. This individual will support the Partner Care strategy that “adds value, builds trust, and connects individuals and organizations to the mission” of World Relief. This role will have a strong emphasis around event planning. A quick learner with an equally strong attention to detail and ability to communicate will thrive in this role.

This position is temporary through June 2025.


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with administrative functions of planning events, in particular the Church Partner Summit which is schedule for May 2025 in Dallas, TX
  • Administrative and technical support in the planning and execution of donor-facing virtual events


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm World Relief’s Core Beliefs and Statement of Faith, and acknowledge World Relief’s Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Customer service experience required, experience working directly with donors preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience in event planning, development, project management or relevant experience 
  • Ability to travel to and support local in-person events up to 25%
  • Proficient in MS Office and Asana 
  • Familiarity with Canva, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams a plus
  • Experience with word processor applications and image/video editing software


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Proven event planning and customer service skills
  • Experience working in hospitality a plus
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, especially in cross-cultural settings
  • Great attention to detail and strong listening skills
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills 
  • Excellent internet research skills 
  • Passionate about donor engagement
  • Valid drivers license preferred


$25 - $25 an hour
Compensation is commensurate with experience
