  • Compensation: $19.50 /hr
  • Worksite Location: NCAT Campus

Overview / Job Summary:

The Career Engagement Specialist is responsible for serving as a liaison between WSU Tech students, industry partners, staff, and faculty in facilitating and identifying employment opportunities for students of WSU Tech.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists with the development & implementation of services for the Career Services team
  • Identifies opportunities and provides solutions for connections between WSU Tech students and employer partners
  • Develops and facilitates relationships with students, staff, faculty, and industry partners to further the goals and mission of the Career Services team
  • Provides support and excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders
  • Initiates and follows up with student & employer inquiries to ensure an effective level of communication
  • Assists with development and implementation of Career Services activities, including but not limited to: group workshops, career fairs, and on-campus interview opportunities.

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in social science, human resources, business marketing or related area, equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in career services, employer relations, human resources, recruiting or relevant experience preferred.
  • Operating knowledge of student services’ software (Banner) and computer-based delivery software (Blackboard, ANGEL, etc.) within three months of hire.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office products and programs, preferred knowledge of SharePoint .
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Ability to fulfill all duties with minimal supervision and to work independently.
