We’re seeking an Associate Visual Designer with a passion for creating user-centric designs and a love for various forms of digital media – movies, TV shows, sports, music, and more. You will work with an experienced and award-winning team of design professionals shaping the future of connected entertainment in the living room, through mobile devices, and in the car. The designs you create will be seen in living rooms, on mobile phones, and in cars all over the world.
As an individual contributor reporting to the local Senior Design Manager, you have a foundational understanding of and demonstrated experience with design systems, leveraging an iterative, user-centered design process to create visually engaging and usable products. Responsibilities:
Responsible for asset production, asset delivery, and final handoff to Engineering including pixel-perfect mockups, final production assets, and visual prototypes for communicating the design to stakeholders, and for use in user research and market research.
Understands and can articulate our business and customer problems; identifies solutions, explains the rationale and how it benefits the business and our customers.
Regularly presents work to stakeholders and developers in virtual and in-person meetings.
Translates product requirements into a usable and beautiful UX; works closely with our Design Communication team to ensure designs are accurately documented.
Builds, develops, and maintains an internal network of stakeholders across the business; regularly and consistently communicates and reviews visual designs with stakeholders from Engineering, Product, QA, etc.
Proactive and positive collaborator with other team members within an established design process.
Develops interface and graphic mockups for product and marketing teams for use in promotional materials, sales decks, and more.
Advocates for user needs throughout the design process.
Qualifications and Experience:
At least 2 years of experience working as an in-house Visual Designer at a consumer electronics, media, or entertainment company. Experience working with a global organization is a plusIn-depth knowledge of visual design principles (typography, layout, iconography, color, etc.).
Demonstrated portfolio experience in applying design standards, iconography, typography, colors, and production practices, preferably for smart TV, mobile, and web apps.
Strong curiosity and desire to understand how things work.
A proactive problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Sketch, and Zeplin.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, etc).
Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Automotive HMI experience a strong plus.
Familiarity with front-end development.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining how something works to product management, engineering, and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated capability to work independently and self-manage day-to-day tasks; comfortable asking questions and asking for support from your manager and colleagues.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and collaborate with colleagues across different geographies and time zones.
Must provide a strong portfolio showcasing a range of visual design projects and your creative process.
English proficiency minimum B2 level is required.Proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
