Engineering Manager, Infrastructure (DevX & Data Eng)

Your Role

We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Manager (DevX & Data Eng) to lead our Developer Experience and Data Engineering initiatives. In this role, you'll champion developer productivity, implement data-driven decision-making processes, and build high-performing teams that enable our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organization to excel.

You Will

  • Lead the evolution of our CI/CD pipeline and testing automation strategy to enhance code quality, development speed, and deployment efficiency.

  • Modernize our build, test, deploy, and release processes through innovative frameworks and continuous improvement.

  • Establish and optimize operational processes to ensure excellence in project management and system reliability.

  • Build and mentor high-performing teams across DevX and Data Engineering functions.

  • Partner with product managers and software engineers to understand and deliver on complex data, analytics, and tooling requirements.

  • Drive organizational metrics and KPIs to measure and improve engineering velocity.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience.

  • 2+ years of experience managing teams of 5 or more engineers.

  • Proven track record in DevX leadership, specifically improving engineering velocity and test quality.

  • Deep expertise in implementing and optimizing CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, BuildKite).

  • Experience developing and maintaining internal productivity tools and integrations (e.g., Asana, Linear, JIRA).

  • Demonstrated success in accelerating team velocity and driving quality improvements.

  • Strong track record of recruiting, retaining, and developing engineering talent.

  • Strong track record of managing and prioritizing needs and requests from internal stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics).

  • Note: This role focuses on internal developer experience, not developer ecosystem/platform initiatives.

Nice to have

  • Experience with data engineering or other aspects of infrastructure work, such as building internal tooling for product analytics, or scaling ELT pipelines.

  • Experience in SaaS or FinTech industry.

  • Experience bootstrapping and landing large-scale 0->1 projects.

  • Experience working at a small company with diverse responsibilities.

The salary range for this role is $220,000 - $250,000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.
